About the Event
Up for an adventure and a different way to have a virtual race?
We are hosting a series of events at our state/local parks, trails, and iconic bluff stairs that will allow you to explore the area like never before. Whether you’ve been to the locations or not, this will be a fun challenge for everyone. The events are based on “capturing” checkpoints throughout the route which means you get to make up the route and explore as much or as little of each location as you want.
How does it work:
This virtual event will use the RevoRace app that you can get from your iOS or Android phone’s app store.
For each event you’ve signed up for, you will see the event name on your app’s event list. When you open an event, you’ll see the checkpoints that we’ve placed on the “course”. When you’re ready to start, get out your park map and go explore collecting as many checkpoints as you can in a single outing. Once you are done, save your results and you’ll be added to the leaderboard.
For each checkpoint you capture, you’ll receive an entry into the prize drawing that will take place at the end of the series. The number of entries you get is totally up to you, enter one, two, five, or all eight events; capture all the checkpoints at each location or just get a few. This event will test the knowledge of veterans of each location and challenge those that have never explored each area to experience some of the hidden gems in the area.
Each event has an entry fee of $5 to cover event administration and other costs. You then can donate as much or as little as you would like to our fundraising efforts for local non-profit youth mental health providers and programs.
For this event, we are featuring the Whitewater State Park trails. Come explore the beautiful lookouts and river paths that wind through the Whitewater State Park
